SUMMARY
OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF HIRE
PAYMENTS
and DEPOSIT:
All amounts stated are in NZ Dollars. A deposit of 10% is required
at the time the booking for confirmation and the balance is due
before start of hire in $NZ cash or payment by Visa or Mastercard
credit cards.
Travel distance:
Hires of 2 and 3 days: Maximum of 200 free kms
per day and then $NZ 0.20 cents/kilometre over that distance.
Hires 4 days and over: Unlimited travel distance.
Extra
costs and local taxes.
No hidden extra costs. MX5 Rentals Ltd per day
rates include all GST, local taxes and fees.
CONFIRMATION:
Following the receipt of deposit we will issue an email or written
confirmation of hire.
BOND:
A Bond of $NZ2000 or $NZ500 with ER (Excess Reduction) is held as
a signed credit card form for the period of hire.
CANCELLATION:
Cancellation with more than 30 days to start of hire: Full refund.
Cancellation with less than 30 days to start of hire: forfeit 10%of
full fee
Cancellation with less than 7 days or No Show: forfeit full fee,
unless the period can be rebooked.
INSURANCE
Standard Insurance included in day rates - Excess
$NZ2000
Excess Reduction (ER):Hirers can choose to pay
$20 per day to reduce liability to pay up to $500 in the case of
damage and complete cover for glass windscreen or headlights breakage.
DRIVERS:
The vehicle may be driven during the hire period only by the persons
named on the agreement.
All drivers licences must be produced at the time of vehicle pick
up. No drivers less than 25 years of age allowed.
FUEL
The Hirer shall pay only for all petrol fuel for the vehicle. Vehicle
will be returned with the same amount of fuel in it as when it was
taken on hire. Normally this would be a full fuel tank.
RETURN
OF VEHICLE
It is expected that the vehicle is returned to Christchurch base
of MX5 Rentals Ltd or the pre-arranged drop-off location in the
same condition as it was when hired.
EARLY
RETURNS:
Vehicles may be returned earlier than the agreed return date but
regrettably no refund for unused days will be possible.
Drop
off vehicle away from Christchurch
If the vehicle is not returned to Christchurch as arranged then
a fee will be charged unless pre-arranged. Returns at other towns
or cities can be pre-arranged at for a fee.
EXTENSIONS
OF PERIOD:
Extensions of period must be approved at least 2 days before agreed
drop-off time.
TRAFFIC
INFRINGMENTS
All speeding, speed camera and parking fines will be paid by the
hirer.
VEHICLE
DAMAGE AND ACCIDENTS:
If accidents are to be reported to us within 24 hours by telephone.
Automobile
Association Rescue Road Cover
An AA Membership ensuring mechanical assistance at all times covers
all vehicles while on all New Zealand roads.
Privacy
Policy
We respect your privacy. Any and all information collected will
be kept strictly confidential. Any information you give to us will
be held with the utmost care, and will not be used in ways that
you have not consented to. We do not sell, rent, loan, trade, or
lease any personal information collected at our site, including
email addresses.
